Organised by Amber NT, this is a community event to honour and remember babies and children who are no longer with us.
Light the Lagoon is a special community gathering where families, friends, and supporters can pause, reflect, and connect in remembrance. Throughout the evening, you are invited to write a message to your loved one, decorate a bamboo boat, and light a candle before we gather at sunset to float the boats together on the lagoon.
As the sun goes down, the water becomes a place of quiet beauty—filled with light, love, and memory.
The event will include
• Children’s entertainment & live music
• Reflection Tent & Memory Lantern
• Sunset candle lighting ceremony
• Floating of remembrance boats
All are welcome to attend.
Entry is by gold coin donation.
This is a space for love, connection, and remembering—held gently, together.

The events will be held on Peninsula Lawns and Rec Lagoon. The surrounding area is connected by wide concrete pathways.
