Accessibility features at Darwin Waterfront
Getting around:
Darwin Waterfront has one level access to all major areas.
- Disability parking: Available throughout the precinct.
- Ramps and pathways: Ramps are located throughout the venue to access all major areas.
- Lift access: Lifts are available connecting Darwin City to Darwin Waterfront. There is also lift access in the multi-storey car park.
- Shuttle bus:
A free 21-seater shuttle bus is available for transportation around Darwin Waterfront and Stokes Hill Wharf.
Water access:
- Mobi-mat: Available daily from 10 am to 6 pm for easy access to water attractions.
- Priority seating and wheelchair use:
Available in the Wave Lagoon with free use of water wheelchair. Free entry for companion card holders.
Service animals
- Assistance dogs:
Permitted. Please ensure they are controlled at all times and do not enter water areas or the beach.
Seating and rest areas
- Designated seating areas are available throughout the precinct. These areas are designed to provide comfort and convenience for individuals with disabilities and those who require rest breaks.
Restroom facilities
- Accessible restrooms and Changing Places:
Located throughout the precinct.

There is no dedicated visitor information centre, however the Darwin Waterfront Corporation office is open Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4pm to assist with any queries.
For assistance, you can also speak with our friendly lifeguards or operators at the Wave Lagoon kiosk from 10am to 6pm daily.
