Commercial and residential rates 

Pursuant to Section 15 of the Darwin Waterfront Corporation Act (“the Act”), rates are determined annually by the Board of the Darwin Waterfront Corporation.

In respect of rates payable under section 15(3)(a) of the Act, the Corporation must issue rates notices to and collect rates from the relevant owner of land as recorded in the land register established under the Land Title Act. Pursuant to section 15(3)(b) of the Act, the Corporation must issue rates notices to and collect rates from rate payers.
