Dry Season Fitness
Daily activities for everyone - 1 May to 30 September
We are very excited to bring you a new wellness program this Dry season at the Waterfront!
We've partnered with some of the best providers in the Territory to add new classes to our existing fitness program, so there will be something every day either at the Wave Lagoon or on Peninsula Lawns.
Our Seniors will have THREE new weekly classes specifically tailored to their needs, and we're introducing pilates and yoga classes for busy working people who want to start the day in the best possible way and see the sunrise over the lagoon while they stay active and healthy.
On Peninsula Lawns
NEW YOGA CLASSES with AGOY YOGA
Wednesday at 6.30am - Vinyasa Flow
A dynamic 60-minute practice that links breath with movement. Perfect for building strength, flexibility, and focus as the sun rises.
Thursdays at 9:00 am - Senior Yoga class (over 50) - a gentle, supportive 60-minute session focused on mobility, balance, and relaxation, making it ideal for older adults or anyone looking for a slower-paced practice.
NEW PILATES CLASSES with ENCORE PILATES
Pilates is all about good movement for YOUR body. These classes will help you feel stronger, more connected, help you move better and teach you how to listen to what your body needs. Pilates isn't just another exercise program, it's a full body integration that will meet you where you are at and challenge you in a way that feels great. If you want to move better and feel more energised without the boot camp feels, Pilates is for you. Suitable for all levels of fitness - no shoes required, just a willingness to try something new and meet some awesome people!
Friday at 6.30am - Mat Pilates
Wednesday at 9am - Senior Mat Pilates (over 50)
These classes are open to all levels, whether you’re brand new or experienced, you’ll be guided every step of the way in a relaxed outdoor setting.
Bring your own mat and water and come as you are.
In the Wave Lagoon
NEW SENIOR AQUA FITNESS CLASS with Chris
Water aerobics improves flexibility, strengthens muscles, improves balance and coordination. This class is also great for participants with mild arthritis or returning from minor injuries. This is a great place to start with aquatic fitness if over the age of 50!
Saturday at 9am - Senior Aqua Fitness (over 50)
All classes are FREE for Waterfront Members, and just $8 for non-members. Bookings essential (to be confirmed closer to the start of the program)
