Cassiopea

More than 13 metres of hand-painted artwork greets visitors at the carpark entry.

This piece is a colourful display of intricate circular patterns that scatter across the car park entrance.

Polly’s inspiration for this piece comes from the Cassiopea Andromeda (commonly known as the upside-down jellyfish), which lies at the bottom of shallow water showcasing its frilly tentacles towards the sunlight.

Each of the circular features reflect Polly’s deep love for pattern. As an educator of visual arts and previously maths, her love for geometry and symmetry also resonates in this piece.
