Kickstart the opening of Water Safety Week with Royal Life Saving NT at their annual SPLASHFEST!
This FREE community event is full of family friendly water-based activities in the lagoon, plus water slides, face painting, roving entertainment, Water Safety Competitions and giveaways.
Join us for a morning of fun and education about safe practices with water.
Accessibility:
This event will be held in the parklands on the lawns with access over grassed areas. The surrounding area is connected by wide concrete pathways.

- Accessible toilets and Changing Places facilities are located in the new Amenities Block in the parklands.
- A water wheelchair is available for free use, simply ask the lifeguards on duty.

The Darwin Waterfront is closing out another fantastic year in true Territory style with our annual New Year’s Eve concert and spectacular fireworks display to welcome 2026. New Year's Eve at Darwin Waterfront is a free event, and no ticket is required. LINE-UP: Australian alternative rock legends, Eskimo Joe Papa and the Bears S hake It Off Show Sabrina Live, "not for real, but pretty close" DJ JLC Picnics are welcome. This year's event is alcohol & smoke free.
