Big Buoy Water Park

Big Buoy Water Park is the NT’s very own inflatable water park for thrill seekers aged 6 and up. Proudly Territory owned and operated, this is a challenging and fun water sports activity with a climbing cube, multiple slides, launching pillow and more. Stand Up Paddleboards are also available for hire. Big Buoy is located in the Recreation Lagoon and is just $15 per person, per hour. Family passes available for locals.

Darwin Harbour Fishing Charters

A good variety of fish are caught in the Darwin Harbour which is Australia’s largest natural harbour and features sheltered waterways, reefs, wrecks and bluewater fishing.

Deckchair Cinema

Spend an evening under the stars at Deckchair Cinema, an award winning outdoor cinema and tourist attraction. The cinema is open 7 nights a week from 18 April to 18 November 2012. Gates open nightly at 6.30pm so patrons can enjoy a Darwin sunset over the harbour before the 7.30pm film. The program is a diverse range of Australian, popular, family, foreign and classic films. Come down early, enjoy a beverage from our fully licensed kiosk, feast your taste buds on a hot meal from one of our food vendors or bring your own picnic. No BYO alcohol. Deckchair Cinema is easily accessible via a well lit picturesque walkway from the city esplanade and there is plenty of parking and bike racks available onsite. Indo Pacific Marine

A tour of this exhibit will enlighten you on the amazing natural eco-system of the coral reefs of the Darwin Harbour. Showcasing displays of living coral ecosystems and the diversity of animals associated with coral reefs, such as sea horses, clown fish and butterfly fish.

World War II Oil Storage Tunnels

The World War II Oil Storage Tunnels were built during WWII by the Civil Construction Corps. This unique tourist attraction located at the Darwin Waterfront Precinct on Kitchener Drive was reopened in 1992 to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Bombing of Darwin.
