The cornerstone of the Darwin Waterfront development is the Darwin Convention Centre which was officially opened on 18 June 2008.

The world-class, multi-purpose convention centre will feature highly flexible and adaptive spaces to cater for meetings, banquets, conventions, exhibitions and concerts.

The Darwin Convention Centre will drive long-term economic growth in the area of business tourism. It is expected to generate an additional $193 million in tourism spending over the next 20 years.
