The Darwin Waterfront Precinct is a place to unwind, have fun and enjoy your surroundings.
For the safety and health of all visitors the Darwin Waterfront Corporation asks that all signs and lifeguard instructions be observed.
Lifeguards are on duty between 9am – 6pm, seven days a week.
The entire Precinct is an alcohol free zone with the exception of the licensed premises. Management reserves the right to check eskies and bags.
The Precinct is under constant video surveillance.
Unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated and Management reserves the right to refuse entry or remove patrons from the Precinct.
Management accepts no responsibility for any theft or damage to personal property.
No BBQs.
No camping.
No glass.
No litter.
No pets in the water. Pets must be on a leash at all times.
No skateboards.
Shared pathways. Bike riders give way to pedestrians and walk your bike when pathway busy.
Conditions of entry to the Wave Lagoon
Hours of operation – daily, 10am – 6pm. Unauthorised entry to the Wave Lagoon outside of these hours is an offence and the Trespass Act applies.
- Wrist band issued subject to conditions of entry displayed at Kiosk and entry to the Wave Lagoon.
- Wrist band valid for the specified time and day for which it was purchased.
- Wrist bands must be worn at all times, no wrist band, no entry.
- No smoking.
- No alcohol or glass; management reserves the right to check eskies and bags.
- No diving or running.
- No bikes inside the glass fenced area.
- Children under 110cm and non-swimmers must be supervised within arms reach at all times by person 16+ years.
- All babies and toddlers must wear waterproof nappies.
- Boogie boards and water tubes supplied by the Wave Lagoon are to be left on waters edge when not in use; these items are not to go beyond the water areas.
- Observe all signs and lifeguard instructions.
Conditions of entry to the Recreation Lagoon
- Children under 110cm and non-swimmers must be supervised within arms reach at all times by person 16+ years.
- No Diving or jumping off the pontoon, seawall or walkways.
- No powered vessels.
- No pets in the water.
- All babies and toddlers must wear waterproof nappies.
